Azerbaijan conducts preliminary assm’t of business environment in accordance with Business Ready

Azerbaijan will be included in the Business Ready report of the World Bank from 2025, Vusal Shikhaliyev, head of the secretariat of Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings of Azerbaijan said at the commission’s today meeting, Report informs.

He said that the preliminary evaluation of this report started this year.

According to Shikhaliyev, a preliminary assessment of the business environment was carried out in accordance with the questions of the Business Ready report, and road maps were prepared in this regard.

The new report will replace the discontinued Doing Business report and will cover 54 economies in its first edition this year. Business Ready will focus on 10 topics covering the stages of starting, continuing, closing or restructuring any company's activity: business entry, business location, utilities, labor relations, financial services, international trade, taxation, market competition, dispute resolution and bankruptcy.
