Azerbaijan, Belarus eye joint mineral fertilizers production

Azerbaijan and Belarus plan joint production of complex mineral fertilizers, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), said at the Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum held today, Report informs.

According to Abdullayev, a roadmap has been signed in this regard, and the parameters of the product and export potential have been agreed upon: "The implementation of the project will not only meet domestic demand but also create opportunities for access to regional markets."

The director also pointed out that agriculture remains one of the important areas of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus: "A joint working group in this field is actively working on increasing trade turnover of agricultural products and attracting investments to the sector. There are highly productive lands in Azerbaijan, and it is possible to create joint livestock agro-complexes here. We are interested in applying Belarus's successful experience in the construction of agricultural settlements."

He added that large-scale restoration projects are currently being implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions: "The restoration of settlements in the liberated territories is being carried out based on the concept of smart city and smart village."
