Azerbaijan begins importing soybeans from Serbia

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 16,218 tons of soybeans worth $9.2 million, representing an increase of 27% in volume and 10% in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased soybeans from:
- Ukraine: 13,055 tons (+81%) worth $7.3 million (+59%);
- Romania: 3,118 tons worth $1.8 million (supplies resumed after 2 years and 10 months);
- Türkiye: 32.7 tons (-27%) worth $66,300 (-35%);
- Serbia: 8 tons worth $13,800;
- Russia: 4 tons worth $4,300 (supplies resumed after 3 years and 2 months).
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported soybeans from Serbia for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
