Azerbaijan begins importing antifreeze from Indonesia

In January-February of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 1,307 tons of antifreeze, valued at $1.75 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 23% and 32%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan purchased antifreeze from:
- Belgium: 187 tons (+81%) worth $459,000 (+2 times);
- Ukraine: 284 tons (+4 times) worth $308,000 (+4.3 times);
- Russia: 376 tons (-9%) worth $304,000 (-26%);
- Türkiye: 227 tons (-23%) worth $273,000 (-11%);
- Germany: 128 tons (+2 times) worth $253,000 (+64%).
In 2025, Azerbaijan imported antifreeze from Indonesia (0.01 tons worth $50) for the first time in 14 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
Meanwhile, in 2024, 5,322 tons of antifreeze were imported to Azerbaijan, of which 42% came from Russia and 23% from Türkiye.
