Average monthly wage in Azerbaijan up by over 10%

The average monthly nominal wage of hired workers in Azerbaijan in January of this year increased by 10.1% in annual terms, reaching 942.4 manat ($554.34).
Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee that the average monthly nominal wage was relatively higher in mining industry, financial and insurance, scientific and technical activities, information and communications.
As of February 1, 2024, the number of hired workers in the country reached, 1,725,100 people, according to preliminary data.
Of these, 901,700 people are employed in the public sector, and 823,400 people are employed in the non-state sector.
