In the first quarter of 2025, the exchange trade turnover between Belarus and Azerbaijan amounted to $35 million, Chairman of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) Aleksandr Osmolovsky said during the Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum held in Baku, Report informs.
Osmolovsky recalled that the exchange trade turnover amounted to $107 million according to the results of last year.
"The main goods include sawn timber, butter, dry milk, granulated sugar and meat products," he said.
According to Osmolovsky, the share of exchange trading in the trade turnover of Belarus and Azerbaijan is 21%.
"Last year, Azerbaijan took third place in the purchase of goods on BUCE. In total, 156 Azerbaijani companies are accredited on the exchange," Osmolovsky added.
