"I am proud that A Thousand and One Night ballet has been staged in the Kremlin theater for almost a decade," People's Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan Tahir Salakhov, who created unique decorations for the play, said.

The tours of the Kremlin ballet in Baku are dated to the 90th jubilee of the artist.

"Its producer, art director Andrey Petrov is a brilliant balletmaster. Ten years ago he asked me to help him with creating this ballet and I agreed with pleasure," Salakhov said.

He also said it was especially encouraging that the ballet will be staged in the concert hall named after Heydar Aliyev.

"This hall has heard famous Azerbaijani musicians and it is a real pride to stage our ballet there," Salakhov noted.

He also said that the collaboration between the art figures means much for the culture of both Azerbaijan and Russia.
