The upcoming COP29 conference in Azerbaijan will assist in adapting the country's agricultural policy to international experience, Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said at the 3rd Agribusiness Development Forum in Guba, Report informs.
According to Majnun Mammadov, COP29 will not only play an important role in adapting agricultural and environmental policies in Azerbaijan to international best practices and technological exchange but also have an impact on providing financial support for broader economic development.
Mammadov added that the use of appropriate innovative approaches and tools, along with environmental protection, will contribute to the sustainability of agriculture, providing the population with environmentally friendly food, as well as increasing prosperity in rural areas.
The minister emphasized that environmental protection is a priority in the large-scale restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories. In these territories, innovative approaches, such as smart cities and smart villages, are being introduced, and the ecosystem is being restored.
