Kazakh grain supplies to Azerbaijan by rail up 95 times

The supply of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan by rail increased by about 95 times from September 2024 to March 10, 2025, Report informs, citing the Kazakh Railways (KTJ).
According to KTJ, 7.7 million tons of grain were transported by rail during the specified period, of which 1.6 million tons were sent within the country and 6.1 million tons were sent for export. The increase in export volumes amounted to 52.8%.
At the same time, 2.3 million tons (+ 32%) were exported to Uzbekistan, 899,000 tons (+ 50%) to Tajikistan, 256,000 tons (+ 37.6%) to Afghanistan, and supplies to Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.7 times, reaching 233,076 tons.
Supplies to Azerbaijan increased 94.7 times to 379,000 tons, and to Iran increased 17.5 times to 718,000 tons.
