On the morning of Thursday, September 8, five more ships with agricultural products left the ports of Ukraine, Turkiye's Ministry of National Defense said.

Report informs citing Anadolu that since the beginning of August, more than 1 million tons of agricultural products have been exported through the grain corridor.

Yesterday Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a plenary meeting within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum that one should think about limiting the export of grain from Ukraine to Europe. Because instead of developing countries, grain is supplied to the EU countries. He plans to discuss this issue with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

An agreement on the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine was signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkiye in Istanbul on July 22 in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary General António Guterres.

The grain deal covers the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Yuzhne and Chornomorsk.
