Azerbaijani minister, reps of German companies mull automation of production in agricultural sector

A meeting has been held at Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Ministry with representatives of German companies specializing in the agricultural sector in the country, as well as banking and financial organizations, Report informs referring to the ministry.

Minister Majnun Mammadov spoke about the role of agriculture in the development of the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan, the ongoing reforms in the field of agriculture, the success achieved, government support for farmers, as well as the strategic goals for the development of the agricultural sector.

The meeting participants discussed issues of transfer of the latest technologies in the field of agriculture, automation of production in the agricultural sector, cooperation in the field of livestock farming and other issues.
