Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to be supported in sale of products

Azerbaijani government has cancelled customs duty on imported onion, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Agriculture said in a joint statement, Report informs.

According to the statement, prices of potato, onion and cabbage in the domestic market increased in the recent times. In connection with this, upon the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated April 5, 2019, a customs duty was imposed on export of potato until April 30, onion and cabbage until May 31. Moreover, ф specific duty on import of onion was cancelled for the same period.

"This step is intended for stabilization of price in the domestic market, meeting of population’s demand for this product. Necessary measures will be taken for elimination of possible difficulties in sale of entrepreneurs’ products," the statement said.
