The necessity of expanding the export of Azerbaijani products to Turkish and European markets was the focus of a recent discussion between Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, and a delegation from the Turkish Grand National Assembly, led by Shamil Ayrim, head of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
During the meeting, Minister Mammadov emphasized Türkiye's role as a reliable partner for Azerbaijan in all areas, including agriculture. He noted that effective cooperation between the two countries continues successfully in various fields such as agricultural research, education, cotton growing, seed production, veterinary medicine, and agricultural insurance.
The meeting highlighted the significant potential for expanding mutual relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector. Particular attention was drawn to increasing the trade turnover of agricultural and food products.
Shamil Ayrim expressed confidence that the friendship and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye will continue to strengthen and expand in all areas, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Discussions also touched upon improving the legislative framework for cooperation in the agricultural sector.
