Azerbaijan starts importing figs from 3 more countries

Azerbaijan imported 39.4 tons of figs (fresh or dried) worth $132,000 in January-May 2023, respectively, 2.5 times and 2.1 times more than the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the country imported 37.6 tons (+2.5 times) of figs worth $123,000 (-3%) from Türkiye, 1.5 tons worth $5,300 from Israel, 100 kg (no imports last year) worth $1,600 from Luxembourg, and 30 kg worth $300 from the Republic of South Africa (RSA).
Azerbaijan imported figs from Spain (10 kg worth $200), Israel, and RSA for the first time in 12 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
