Azerbaijan starts exporting almonds to five more countries

Last year, Azerbaijan imported 741.11 tons of almonds (peeled and unpeeled) worth $4.1 million, an increase of 38.3% in value and 34.3% in quantitative terms compared to 2021, Report informs, citing the data from the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan purchased 675.31 tons (+38%) of almonds worth $3.694 million (43% more than a year earlier) from the United States, 36.36 tons (-16%) for $201,000 (-15%) from Spain, 14.29 tons (+27 times) worth $95,000 (+11 times) from Australia.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 687.4 tons (+7.9 times) of almonds worth $1.812 (+5.6 times).
Exports to Belarus, Belgium, Qatar, Iraq and Singapore were carried out for the first time in the last 11 years.
