Azerbaijan starts deliveries of watermelons to one more country

In January-June 2022, Azerbaijan exported 3,913 tons of watermelons worth $2.062 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 24.7% less in value terms and 31.7% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 3,511 tons of products were sold to Russia (15% less than a year ago) for $1.963 million (-20%), to Ukraine - 141.62 tons (-90%) for $35,830 (-85.5%), to Belarus - 102.6 tons (-41.1%), for $26,860 (-4%), to Slovenia - 84 tons for $21,000, to Georgia - 74.9 tons of products for $14,980.

A year and ten months later, Georgia resumed purchases from Azerbaijan. This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (official statistics on foreign trade in the public domain since 2011), shipments were made to Slovenia.
