Azerbaijan increases wheat, barley production

In 2021, Azerbaijan produced 1.885 million tons of wheat and 1.147 million tons of barley, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, these figures are 0.9% and 12.4% more than in 2020, respectively.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan harvested wheat from 572,000 hectares and barley from 374,000 hectares. The average yield was 32.9 centners and 30.7 centners, respectively. These amounts are 1.2 centners and 1.1 centners more than the previous year.
