Azerbaijan increases its corn imports

In January-May of this year, Azerbaijan imported 36,896 tons of corn worth $13,413,000.
Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee, that this is an increase of 17,459 tons (89.8%) in terms of volume and $4,578,000 (51.8%) in value.
During the reporting period, the cost of imported corn made up 0.26% of the total import costs of Azerbaijan.
Last year, 287,300 tons of corn were harvested from 32,200 hectares of cultivated land.
