New 10 km ski slope under construction in Shahdagh

Construction of a new 10 km ski slope is underway at the Shahdagh Tourist Center, Rustam Najafov, chairman of the center's board, said during a media tour marking the opening of the summer season.

He explained that in preparation for the summer season, the infrastructure at the complex and its hotels had been improved, with repairs and maintenance completed, and that the cable cars and rides had been technically serviced and were ready for use.

He also noted that, due to the European Championship and the World Cup in ski mountaineering, which will be held in March 2026 in Shahdagh, new infrastructure projects have been launched, including the construction of a new 10 km ski slope.

The tourism representative added that another hotel with 124 rooms is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2025.

Najafov stressed that the expansion of the Shahdagh complex is ongoing in phases.
