British Backpacker Society: Azerbaijan among Top 10 must visit countries in 2020

The British Backpacker Society has compiled a rating of countries that must be visited in 2020 for lovers of independent and active travel, Report informs citing a message from society.

In line with the rating, Azerbaijan is 10th among similar countries, according to the results of a vote of experts in adventure tourism from around the world who are part of this society.

"Azerbaijan - a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia on the shores of the Caspian Sea - is a treasury for travelers. With spectacular mountains in the north, curious mud volcanoes in the south, captivating culture in the west, and the most impressive city of the Caucasus - Baku - in the east, this is a country that offers diverse experience in every corner, " the statement said.

The British Backpackers Society predicts "limitless growth" of Azerbaijani tourism in the next decade, as Azerbaijan pursues an effective national tourism marketing strategy.

The society also recommends visiting Kazakhstan (5th place), Uzbekistan (6th place), Bosnia, and Herzegovina (7th place), Russia (8th place).

The final list will be published shortly, where it will become known about the first four countries.
