Azerbaijani weightlifters who successfully performed at European Championships return home

Azerbaijani weightlifters, who successfully performed at the European Championships in Poland, have returned home, Repoort informs.

The plane with the team has landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The athletes were met by members of the public, journalists, and sports fans.

The Azerbaijan weightlifting team won a total of 12 medals at the European Junior and U23 Championships, held from October 26 to November 3.

These include two gold, four silver, and six bronze medals. The gold medals were won by weightlifters Ravin Almammadov and Omar Javadov.
