Azerbaijan's population grows by 11,099 people since early year

Since the beginning of the year, Azerbaijan's population has increased by 11,099 people, or 0.1%, reaching 10,273,450 as of July 1, 2026, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
It is noted that 54.3% of the country's population is urban, 45.7% rural, 49.8% men, and 50.2% women.
At the beginning of July, 4.6% of the population lived in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 22.9% in the city of Baku, 9.3% in Lankaran-Astara, 8.6% in Absheron-Khizi, 7.3% in Karabakh, 7.1% in Central Aran, 6.6% in Gazakh-Tovuz, 6.1% in Shaki-Zagatala, 5.8% in Ganja-Dashkasan, 5.4% in Guba-Khachmaz, 5.2% in Mil-Mugan, 4.9% in Shirvan-Salyan, 3.2% in Mountainous Shirvan, and 3% in East Zangazur economic regions.
