73 children adopted in Azerbaijan in 1H2026

A total of 73 children were adopted in Azerbaijan during the first six months of 2026, the country's Social Services Agency told Report.

In addition, seven children were placed with foster families during the same period.

Since adoption management was transferred to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population on November 1, 2019, 891 children have been adopted. Meanwhile, under the Foster Family care model introduced in November 2023, 82 children have been placed with foster families.
