Turkish Parliament commission on PKK disarmament to begin work on August 5

The first meeting of the Turkish Parliament's commission on the disarmament of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is outlawed and recognized as a terrorist organization in the country, is scheduled for August 5, the Speaker of the legislative body, Numan Kurtulmus, said, Report informs via foreign media.
"I invite all members of the commission to its first meeting on August 5," TRT Haber quoted Kurtulmus as saying.
According to the previous information, the commission, which will include deputies from all parties represented in parliament, will work on developing the legislative framework for the PKK disarmament process. By October, when parliament convenes for the autumn session, it will prepare its proposals, including amendments to anti-terrorism laws and the law on the execution of sentences.
