Turkish Defense Minister reports high domestic production in defense industry

During a youth gathering in Bayburt, Turkish Defense Minister Yashar Guler announced that Türkiye’s defense industry is predominantly self-reliant, with over 80% of production being domestic, Report informs.

Minister Guler highlighted the success of Türkiye’s fifth-generation fighter jet, KAAN, which has completed its maiden flight and returned safely, despite skepticism from some circles. He emphasized that only true allies had faith in the project’s success.

Furthermore, Minister Guler said that there are always risks and dangers for Türkiye: "We should never forget this."
