Russia's foreign debt rises by over $600M in one month

As of July 1, 2026, Russia's external public debt reached $55.494 billion, showing a 1.12% increase in just one month, Report informs, citing the Russian Ministry of Finance.
According to the latest data, the figure stood at approximately $54.876 billion on June 1.
Earlier, Russia's Accounts Chamber reported that by the end of 2025, total public debt had risen by 21% to $431.8 billion. Domestic debt increased by 29.1% to $377.6 billion, while external debt fell by 15.4% to $55.3 billion.
