Peskov refrains from commenting on Armenia election results

The Kremlin has stated it will avoid commenting on the outcome of Armenia's parliamentary elections until the Central Election Commission (CEC) officially announces the results, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists, Report informs via Russian media outlets.
"I will refrain from making any official comment, since Armenia's CEC has not yet announced the final results. We are waiting for them."
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted that Moscow intends to shape its future course with Yerevan based on the real steps taken by Armenia's leadership. She emphasized that the elections demonstrated the deep polarization of Armenian society.
According to preliminary data from Armenia's CEC, the ruling Civil Contract Party received 49.825% of the vote, enabling it to form a new government.
