If the Constitutional Court of Armenia decides that the peace treaty with Azerbaijan contradicts the country's fundamental law, constitutional changes will be necessary in the name of peace, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in the US, Report informs.
If signed, the peace treaty with Azerbaijan will be sent to Armenia's Constitutional Court to verify its content's compliance with the fundamental law, he noted.
If the Constitutional Court decides that the treaty contradicts the Constitution of Armenia, a situation will emerge where constitutional changes will be necessary in the name of achieving peace, Pashinyan added.
