“Today (yesterday - ed.), two Armenian servicemen attacked and wounded soldier Ruslan Shiraliyev with a knife bayonet on the territory of the border-combat point of the separate ‘Gubadli’ border division. It is noted that the Armenian soldiers fled into the forest, seeing that border guards came to the Azerbaijani soldier’s aid,” reads the statement of the Azerbaijani Office of the Ombudsman, Report informs.
“We strongly condemn such terrible provocations by the Armenian side, which are aimed at creating new hotbeds of conflict by constantly killing people and aggravating the situation on the border, and remind them that they should understand their commitments under international law and the trilateral statement,” the statement reads.
