Kazakh president replaces head of country’s ground forces

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Asan Zhusupov as the new commander-in-chief of the ground forces of the republic, Report informs referring to Tokayev’s press service.
Talgat Koibakov, who held this position since November 2020, was relieved of his position by order of Tokayev.
Previously, Zhusupov served as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
