Iran's coronavirus victims near 16 thousand

Iran has recorded 2 434 new COVID-19 cases over the past day, while 212 others died, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
According to Sima Sadat Lari, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the total number of infected since February 19, when authorities reported the first COVID-19 case in the country, reached 293 606, with 15 912 victims. Moreover, at least 255 144 people have recovered so far.
At the beginning of July, Iran updated the anti-record for coronavirus victims four times. The maximum figure at the moment - 229 deaths per day-was recorded on July 21.
