Iran: Over 140 die with coronavirus per day

Iran has confirmed 2,457 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, Report says, citing RIA Novosti
According to Sima Sadat Lari spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, 147 more people have died from the coronavirus over the past day, bringing the death toll to 10.8 thousand.
Sadat Lari added that the condition of 3,049 people is critical.
Iran reported on Monday 162 more deaths from the novel coronavirus, the highest single-day toll since the country's outbreak began in the country. Since February 19, when authorities reported the first COVID-19 case, the total number of positive cases reached 227 662, with 10 817 victims. Moreover, at least 177,852 people have recovered so far.
Official figures have shown an upward trajectory in new confirmed cases since early May when Iran hit a near two-month low in daily recorded infections.
