Investigation launched against Georgian president

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia has begun an investigation into the decisions of President Salome Zourabichvili on pardon.
Georgian bureau of Report informs that the possible abuse by the president during the pardon process is being investigated.
According to the country's prosecutor general’s office, information on the progress and results of the investigation will be regularly provided.
Notably, on August 28, the president pardoned 34 prisoners on the occasion of Mariamoba holiday. Three convicted for the murder and one wanted were among them.
