Three civilians and two policemen were injured during a brawl in the village of Kirants (Heyrimli) in Tavush, the Investigative Committee of Armenia said in a statement.

Report informs via Armenian media that criminal proceedings were initiated under articles on hooliganism and interference in the legitimate duty or political activities of an official after the incident in the village.

In particular, according to the police, on April 26 at about 9:00 p.m., a group of people blocked the road near Kirants and did not obey the police’s demand to unblock it.

As noted in the report, this provoked chaos during which the sounds of explosions were heard and tires were burned. The protesters insulted and pushed the police.

"They threw stones at the police, as a result of which two employees received varying degrees of injuries and were taken to the Ijevan medical center," the report said.

In addition, on the night of April 27, the police received a statement from the medical center that as a result of police actions, three citizens were brought to them with injuries.
