EU offers Armenia cooperation in combating disinformation and cyber threats

The EU has offered Armenia cooperation in combating disinformation and cyber threats, Report informs referring to Armenian media citing the press service of the Armenian government following the meeting of Ursula von der Leyen, Antonio Costa and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Brussels has offered Yerevan to use EU instruments to counter security threats, including information manipulation, external interference, and cyber attacks.

As part of its support for Armenia's information ecosystem, the EU has also announced a new aid package of 1.5 million euros to strengthen independent media.

The EU leadership also expressed gratitude to Yerevan for its cooperation and efforts to prevent the circumvention of Russian sanctions.
