Erdogan, Scholz talk over phone

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
The sides reportedly discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues, and the need for increased cooperation in these areas was stressed.
During the meeting, dedicated to the latest developments in Russia, the issue of Sweden’s membership in NATO was also raised.
Erdogan said that while Sweden has taken steps in the right direction, such as amending anti-terror laws, PKK/YPG supporters in Sweden continue to freely demonstrate in praise of terrorism, kill people and provide financial resources to terrorist groups. This situation is unacceptable for Türkiye, he added.
