The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), recognized as a terrorist organization in Türkiye, is reportedly set to decide on its dissolution by the end of April, Report informs via the Hurriyet newspaper.
On April 21, Omer Celik, the spokesperson for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), told journalists that significant progress could be achieved in resolving the long-standing Kurdish issue this month.
Representatives from the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) held discussions on April 22 with Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the PKK, who is serving a life sentence for terrorist activities.
"According to information, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been briefed about the PKK’s intentions to cease armed conflict and dissolve itself by the end of this month," the article stated.
