Relations between Iran and Azerbaijan are multifaceted, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh told journalists before a meeting at the Center of Analysis of International Relations in Baku.
The diplomat noted: "There are no other two countries in the region that are as closely connected to each other as Iran and Azerbaijan."
"Our peoples are also very close. We are trying to remove the artificial barriers that have arisen between the two countries and return relations to normal," he added.
