Danish Ambassador: Ukraine to receive F-16 fighters in summer

Denmark will provide Ukraine with F-16 fighters this summer, Danish Ambassador to Kyiv Ole Egberg Mikkelsen said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Report informs.

“I’m not very familiar with the technical details, but I can quote my Prime Minister, who was recently in Ukraine, in Lviv. She was asked the same question, and she said that the planes would arrive this summer. She did not specify in what month. I can only refer to what she said,” the ambassador said.

According to him, pilots and ground crews are getting trained to use the F-16 in Ukraine.

“This is a huge task and I had the honor of meeting some Ukrainian pilots at an air base in Denmark back in August last year when your president (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) came to Denmark,” Mikkelsen said.
