COVID kills 9 children in Georgia

Adolescents make up 15% of those infected with the coronavirus in Georgia, the head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze, said, Report informs.
He noted that COVID-19 was detected in 103,927 children and adolescents under 18: "6,979 of them were hospitalized, and, unfortunately, nine deaths were registered among children. Except for three babies, all other cases were accompanied by severe genetic diseases."
To date, Georgia has recorded 698,944 COVID cases. 639,564 of the infected people recovered, while 9,831 succumbed to the disease.
