Suspects of organizing a channel for the sale of human organs have been detained in Kyrgyzstan, according to the press service of the State Committee for National Security, Report informs referring to Kyrgyz media.

According to the intelligence service, one of the main organizers was looking for patients in foreign clinics for kidney transplants who were willing to pay up to $80,000. Already in Kyrgyzstan, so-called “recruiters” used money to find donors who were deceived into providing their organs for transplantation.

“The donors underwent a medical examination, regardless of their condition, a positive conclusion was always issued. After this, the organizers prepared fake documents about the relationship with the patient, which had to be submitted to the clinic where the operation was to be performed. Then they, together with the donor, traveled outside the Kyrgyz Republic,” reads the message.

The intelligence service informed that donors received on average from $1,000 to $7,000 for one kidney, recruiters - up to $3,000 for each referred donor, and a significant part of the money went to the organizer of the channel - from $30,000 to $70,000.
