Lebanese president urges US to press Israel on territorial withdrawal

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met with US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper in Beirut, Report informs via Ynet News.
Aoun called on the United States "to pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territory and activate the committee responsible for implementing the ceasefire agreement provisions."
The Lebanese presidency reported that Aoun emphasized "the importance of continued US support for the Lebanese army, which will enable it to carry out the many tasks assigned to it."
It was also reported that Cooper praised the army's work, confirmed the continuation of assistance and announced that the committee overseeing the implementation of the agreement will convene tomorrow to discuss the situation in southern Lebanon.
