Zelensky urges UN to remove Russia from Security Council

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that the UN Security Council dissolve itself or remove Russia from its membership, Report informs citing UNIAN that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this on Tuesday during his video link speech at the UN Security Council.

“Now we need a UN Security Council decision for peace in Ukraine. If you do not know how to make this decision, then you can do two things: either eliminate Russia as an aggressor and a source of war so that it cannot block decisions regarding its aggression and war... or show how you can reformat and really work for the sake of peace. Or, if your current format has no alternative and there is simply no way out, then the only way is self-dissolution. I am convinced that you can do without the third option," Zelensky said.
