World’s nuclear arsenal amounts to nearly 13,000 warheads

As of early 2022, there are more than 12,700 warheads in 9 countries, Report informs, citing the Federation of American Scientists.
According to the information, despite progress in reducing nuclear arsenals since the Cold War, the global stockpile of nuclear warheads remains very high.
About 90% of all nuclear warheads belong to Russia and the United States.
Currently, there are 5,977 warheads in Russia, 5,428 in the United States, 350 in China, 290 in France, 225 in Great Britain, 165 in Pakistan, 160 in India, 90 in Israel, and 20 in North Korea.
