Washington still committed to pursuing deal with Iran, US tells UN

"The United States remains committed to pursuing a deal with the Iranian government," the acting US Ambassador to the UN Dorothy Shea wrote in a letter to the UN Security Council, Report informs via Iran International.
The US also defended its strikes against Iran as an act of collective self-defense based on Article 51 of the UN Charter, which mandates that any self-defense measures taken in response to an armed attack must be promptly reported to the 15-member Security Council.
