US sinks Ecuadorian cartel ship in Pacific

US forces have seized and sunk a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean that was being used in the interests of Ecuador's Los Choneros narco‑terrorist group, the US Southern Command announced, Report informs.
It was noted that the ship had served as a floating refueling station for drug trafficking in international waters of the eastern Pacific. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Ecuadorian government.
US intelligence confirmed that the vessel was being used for the cartel's activities. The individuals on board were handed over to Ecuadorian authorities.
After searches and clearance operations were completed, US forces sank the ship.
