Coronavirus: US reports more than 58 thousand new cases per day

With the coronavirus pandemic entering its ninth month, over 19 million people have been infected till now. The global number of cases stood at 19,295,350 on Saturday, with the death toll at 719,830. The United States has reported the highest number of cases, with the country’s case-load nearly touching five million (4,940,939). 

Over 58 thousand people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection in 50 US states over the past 24 hours, 1,243 people died, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the US has recorded 58,173 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past day.

So far, US has 4,942,746 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with more than 161,000 deaths and 1.6 million recoveries.
