Unknowns attack Maldives Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem

Maldives Attorney General Hussain Shameem was attacked on the street in Male, Report informs via foreign media.

The incident occurred on the morning of January 31, leaving Shameem hospitalized with his left femur broken.

According to the information, Shameem came under mortar fire.

He allegedly parked his bicycle and entered the house when he was wounded in the left shoulder.

The attacker could not be detained. His identity is yet to be established.
