A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed in Ukraine's Odesa region while carrying out a combat mission, Report informs, citing the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram channel.
"On the evening of August 10, 2026, a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Air Force was lost while carrying out a combat mission," the statement said.
The pilot managed to eject and was taken to hospital.
According to preliminary data, the aircraft caught fire during the launch of an aviation missile, after which the pilot lost control.
On July 29, contact was lost with an F-16 fighter jet in Ukraine while it was carrying out a combat mission to intercept targets in the sky. An emergency situation occurred on board, and the pilot successfully ejected.
