The Taliban movement has declared its desire to normalize diplomatic relations with the United States and announced a favorable stance on the potential return of the US Embassy to Kabul, Report informs, citing statements made by Taliban representatives to Al Hadath television.
Taliban representatives emphasized that the unfreezing of Afghan assets by the US would also help improve relations, while calling on Washington to alter its "combative policy."
The television channel noted that despite five years having passed since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, the United States still refuses to recognize their government.
